From 1st April 2006 Harwell Dental Practice is to be fully independent and will provide no NHS treatment.

Dr Mike Bellew writes:

"I have provided NHS services since I first qualified in 1983 and it it with some regret that I will now cease to do so. The Government's introduction of the new 2006 dental contract is widely accepted to be a complete shambles: we only received a contract offer two weeks before the deadline and never received the relevant accompanying legal 'Statutory Instrument' document. From the paperwork we have, it is clear that we would not be allowed to continue to provide NHS services under our former terms and conditions, plus there is much in the 'small print' that is unacceptable."
 

Harwell Dental Practice offers:

• For an introductory period, we will provide free check ups to our former NHS child patients.  (2 check ups per year; all other treatment chargeable; up to age 18 only; parent/s must subscribe to our Dental Care Plan; offer may be cancelled at any time). This is a limited offer: no additional children, even siblings, can be added to the offer.

• Pay as you go - private feescale applies.
